Margo Miller
Margo Miller is a Black Appalachian maker, cultural worker, and community artist from East Tennessee. Raised in Knoxville, she comes from a region where creativity, care, and everyday resourcefulness are part of daily life. She spent more than thirteen years as executive director of the Appalachian Community Fund, supporting grassroots organizing across Central Appalachia. Her creative practice is rooted in quilting, clay, fiber, storytelling, and the beauty of everyday life. A longtime member of Alternate ROOTS, founding assembly member of the Waymakers Collective, and member of the Ceramic Soul Collective, Margo makes space for art, joy, community, and handmade traditions.
