Free Memberships for all Universities Affected by COVID-19

BY SP STAFF
Mar 12, 2020
June 1, 2020 update: Studio Potter gave free memberships to nearly 400 educators, serving over 18,000 students. We're working to develop a package membership package for educators to purchase and use in the upcoming semester. The below offer is no longer avaliable. Please email us at membership@studiopotter.org to learn more about our options for educators, or check back on our site in early July for an update.

In light of the reality that many of our colleagues are scrambling to create online learning for their ceramics students, Studio Potter is offering a three-month free membership to educators. Our archive of over 8,000 pages of content will be accessable, and it is an excellent resource for remote ceramic education.

Any university or educational institution including all K-12 schools and community centers who teach ceramic courses that are affected by COVID-19 are eligible for the free three month membership. All students and faculty will access the journal under one log in for the three month period.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please have a faculty or staff member of your organization email Jess Detweiler, Director of SP, at membership@studiopotter.org. We will set up one account for each organization.

Include the following information in your email, and please reply using a numbered list in this format (this helps us process your request as quickly as possible): 1. Your name 2. Your organization's name 3. The email address you would like associated with the log in 4. Estimated number of students that will access the journal through this log in

Please allow up to 7 business days for us to process your request. We've received a huge response to this offer and we are doing our best to give everyone access quickly.

Furthermore, we encourage you to give your students a writing assignment – Create an article for Studio Potter. You screen the submissions and send your top three to Jill Foote-Hutton at Editor@studiopotter.org for consideration. Selected student authors will be published on studiopotter.org and will receive a one year membership to Studio Potter.

Studio Potter remains committed to supporting our ceramics community. If you would like to help support our efforts, please donate to us today.
