Georgette Zirbes is Arthur F. Thurnau Professor Emerita of Art & Design, Stamps School of Art & Design, The University of Michigan.  She studied at DePauw University and The Ohio State University.  As a recipient of two Fulbright Grants, she lived and worked in Japan and the former Czechoslovakia.  She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics and a studio artist in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
