Shachi Shah is an emerging studio potter living in the heritage city of Ahmedabad, India. She started potting in 2020, and though it has only been two years, it also feels like a lifetime of learning. She enjoys throwing pots on the wheel and strives to make comfortable pots for daily use. Her early learning days have been built on the simple lessons of detachment and letting go.
Shachi was a student of Golden Bridge Pottery, founded by Ray Meeker and Deborah Smith.
Today, she's still opening herself up to clay, exploring techniques, and continuously trying to find her way around it. The journey of learning how to "live the life of clay" is ongoing.
