The Studio Potter 20th Anniversary Collection

The Studio Potter Twentieth Anniversary Collection is a rare assembly of masterworks from many of the best-known ceramic artists in America. Each piece is chosen by the artist and is a gift to Studio Potter. Many come from the artists' specially held private sources.

The objects range from functional to abstract, and from traditional to contemporary. Some are intimate in size, others are monumental. Many are characteristic of the work of the artist as identified by a particular style or form while others represent a departure from a known style of work. Each of the sixty-eight objects is the artist's personal choice for representation in a museum and thus is true to the integrity of self-perception. Viewed as a whole, the Collection is a unique example of the broad spectrum of contemporary American ceramic art.
